Sunday fun day.

And we're back!
Uncle Trevor is here and we went to a birthday party!
I went fishing with dad and Uncle Trevor too,
my first fishing experience.
Details TBA.

Someone got in the dishwasher!

Mom's friend made Rosie a special banner for her room.

She was pretty excited about it.

This is Rosie touching the birthday boy's face.
Wim turned 1.

Just as mom was taking the picture I happened to be swinging
a plastic shovel near Rosie's head.  It's not like I was going to really hit her.

I'm getting pretty good at singing happy birthday!

Party people.
Mema might recognize Matt Tainter, Doug
and Valerie Edwards (left to right).
It was Val's son's birthday.

Boat!

I spent a lot of time fixing my bike this week.
I am pretty handy with the tools.
And very serious about it.

I have to fix it on the couch or Rosie will try to help.

Rosita is home!

Hola!  I am home now.  I was pretty excited to see dad
and it seemed like Cedro was excited to see mom and me, we hugged!
I had a fun trip, all Latin Americans LOVE babies,
so needless to say I was a big hit.

I can say bye-bye and tell you what a chicken says now.
That gives me mama, dada, up, uh-oh, and bye-bye.

My first time in the pool was not a success.  I was too tired.

This was less than 5 minutes later.

While mama helped the kids get their white water rafting gear on,
I sat in the rocks and nibbled.

But then mom saw this spider and I came out of the rocks.

This was our tour guide, Cristian.  I called him Tío Chris.

I am looking good!

We hiked to a view point of a volcano.  Mom's boys carried me up.

I was tuckered out after the hike.

I was listening to the howler monkeys, and I saw 2 baby monkeys!

All the tiled showers were huge and nice for me.

Sleeping in short sleeves and shorts!
I could get used to that.

My feet hardly ever touched the ground.

I made some friends for Cedar and I.  This is Dario and Bela.
The rest of the time I really enjoyed the pool and the ocean.

Here was my crew.

Last day of sun, mom sure did a good job
of slathering me with 50 spf every day.
These last shots are just a few of the faves.

2 months to go until we hit the road to Guatemala and
3 months to go until we hit the road to Washington!

Same same, but different.

Mom says when she went to Vietnam
one of the locals she met there always compared
the US and Vietnam by saying "same same, but different".
That sums up our week.

It is highly important to get me quality outside time
so we went to Sandy Beach when the tide was out.

MeMa bought Rosie this cute and warm hat!

Rosie and I went to another birthday party!
I stuck my finger in the cake and got in trouble,
but I was just dying to taste the frosting!!
Do you see any of my friends?
Phoebë Snow is gone to Joshua Tree, but
there is Ever, Iona, Lily, and Emery.

Ya ya ya, my hair is wild and I'm still on the bottle.
Being 2 is tough, lay off me!

Rosie just keeps getting taller and taller, she can reach everything!

Today Dad didn't work because the hospital was empty!
So we all went to Starrigavan and walked around the beach.
I found some fishing lures and I tried to catch some birds.
No luck.

It seems like something is up - mom and Rosie are packing things
like shorts and swim suits.  I wouldn't be surprised if I don't update
this blog for a couple weeks.  Adventure time with dad!
What could go wrong?  Don't go MeMa!!

Welcome MeMa and March.

March strolled in with some pretty nice weather
and a visit from MeMa!

It is possible that the time has come to cut down
the golden locks.  Not quite today, but soon.

It was almost 50 degrees today so we went to the beach!
This is mom's friend Ellen.

We also hit the beach on Sunday while baby took a nap.
The tide was way out and we did some exploring.

Boots are the way to go at the beach.

Ever's dad took me for a paddle in his kayak.
I saw birds and sea stars.

I loved it!  I hope Uncle Gabe takes me this summer!

Alaska:  so wild and inspiring for a little guy like me.
