Leaving on a jet plane.

Just as the sun pokes out, we are packing our bags.
Well mostly we are making messes and mom is packing.

This photo courtesy of Aunt Chloë.
And everyone knows who we are!

Berry picking with the gang and
my best friend Phoebë Snow.

Some of the salmon berries mom picked; I ate all mine.

Mom's friend Lisa is here visiting.
She is going to fly on the plane with us tomorrow.
She also brought me a whole bag of fireworks, awesome!

Wednesday we went on our last toddler hike of the summer.

Can you find Rosie and I?

Thursday mom and dad took us to pick more berries!

Friday was a day of rest.  I can't remember what we did.

On Saturday we went to the Sitka Air Show and I got
to check out the cockpits of many planes and helicopters.

I woke up and my eye was all swollen and painful.
This has mom worried.
But off we go tomorrow, swollen weird eye and all!
See you soon!

July in Sitka

Summer started out so nice.  Weather in the 70s, sunshine even.
Now we are back to low 60s with occasional rain
and not much sun.

Every day we get outside, regardless of the elements.
Our new rain suits have turned out to be a great investment!
We went to Starrigavan to pick salmon berries.  I ate all the berries!

Rosie was wearing my old extra-tuffs, but they were too big.

Next we headed to the beach.  It was pouring rain, but still fun!

Rosie took her boots off and went barefoot.

Another rainy day and Rosie was wearing her new Guatemala dress.

We went to dinner at Jamal and Angie's house for dinner.
They live at a hatchery, the farthest place away you can drive to in Sitka.
They had a fire, smores, fishing, half a million baby salmon,
magical lanterns that floated into the sky and fireworks!
I was totally blissed out.

Some of our other friends came out.  This is Iona. I gave her a hug.

Rosie and I stayed up until after 11 PM!
Big night for us!

Here is the lantern.

Up it goes!

But then it fell.

Dad got it going again.

Dad had to work today so mom took us to the beach.
62 degrees and cloudy skies.

Rosie is always eating the sand.

Then she sat down so I suggested she join in my clothing freedom.

Mom finally said ok.

The beach in Washington is going to be delightful!

A little glimpse.
