Happy 7 month birthday!

Dear Cedro,

There are many, many things I love about you, but here are some of my favorites.

I love your ability to sleep when the mood strikes you,
whether it be in the car, on the floor, in the high chair
or in a pack on a hike.

I love that you are able to tolerate the many places I drag you
on a daily basis, with a very minimal amount of fussing.


I love the very peaceful way you sleep,
especially when I swaddle you in ridiculous bear blankets.



I love it when your brow furrows when you are thinking about something,
even if it is about something in your diaper.

I love the way that your eyes light up when
you see your dad or hear his voice,
and that your smile radiates through your whole face.

And I love the little sounds that you make,
even when you make them at 4 AM.






I also love your chubby little legs and your big wondering eyes,
your happy baby yoga poses, how your arms
and legs flail about when you are excited,
your nervous pant when you think you'll never eat again,
and how you shove anything within reach right into your mouth.

May visits parte deux

Yesterday we went to the seafood festival parade
and spent some time with the fam.
It was a good day.Hoochies!





The dads returned from the mother ocean with
5 kings, 1 coho, 1 lingcod, 2 yelloweye and 1 tiny sharpchin.

And here is today's dinner.
I tried out some cheerios because
yesterday I had a little projectile vomiting
from a late dinner so mom kept it light and
Uma had some sweet potatoes.

PS I also got a tooth on Thursday and maybe ate an earring.
We're on diaper watch 2011 for a pearl.

A really nice lady came to mom and baby time with a super camera
and took some photos of me.

I have a lot to say in the morning.

The Southwest!

So this week we went to the Southwest.
First we flew to Las Vegas, spent about 20 minutes there,
and headed out to Zion National Park.

I got a new hat to keep the sun off my dome.


This is on our hike to the Emerald Pools.

The next day we went to the Navajo National Monument.

Finally we arrived in Moab where I could roll freely in the grass.

I got to spend some time with Cousin Joel!

And then Cousin Sarah!

Then Cousin Jill!

Joel is demonstrating his fish catching abilities using me as a model.
He caught a 20 pounder!

This is cousin Jill with her boyfriend Chris.
We went to Arches National Park together.

This is at Kevin and Sara's wedding. It was 90 degrees and windy!

Then I got to spend some time with mom's good friend B-Dogg,
aka her old roommate Dr. Brandon Peden.

There was one other dude at the wedding, my buddy Augie.
We'll be seeing each other again!

Next up we have visitors coming and then we're off to Guatemala,
wherever that is.
