an almost 2 year old girl and 3.5 year old boy

Rosie is less than 10 days away from turning 2 years old!

She can pretty much say anything and can definitely
communicate her likes and dislikes.
One of her favorite sentences is "I don't like it".
Her other favorite sentence is "I need it".
My favorite thing Rosie says is "my do it" when she wants to do it herself.

At 1.5 Cedar was climbing out of his crib in alarming ways.
At 2, Rosie can't get out of her crib, or so we thought.
We recently discovered that she is capable of getting out and getting back in,
and she stays in her crib because she likes to.
Sometimes she just needs to turn the light on.

Little Rosie is a snuggler.  She really likes to be held,
but she likes to read books and sing songs and dance too.

Rosie is about 26 lbs.  She doesn't like sugar as much as her brother.
Her favorite foods are eggs, oranges, fish, broccoli, rice, pasta,
popsicles, cheese, and any kind of meat, especially chicken and steak.

Cedar is about 45 lbs and a ball of energy.
We are still experiencing the aftershocks of the trip to Bellingham.
All he wants is his mom to stay home with him "you wanna stay home with me"
and when mom gets home he says "I'm so glad you are home mom".
It is both endearing and difficult!  He loves to play outside with dad
and he regularly keeps us on our toes.
He is also very consistent with his request for Mema to come home.
Especially when he is in trouble!

Cedar is fully potty trained and has begun
to be helpful around the house.  Rosie too.
He still pulls shenanigans, like when he snuck 3 espresso
brownies at 8 PM the other night and was buzzing around
the house past 11 PM.

He likes to announce when he has something he shouldn't have:
"mom, dad, I have something!"
When he gets mad at his parents he says
"you guys are wild amimals"
And he still doesn't really say the letter "s",
but he really likes to "nuggle".

We had his first preschool parent conference and his teachers
said that Cedar is a really happy kid and listens well.
Happy we knew, but he listens?!  Yay!!
They said he gets to school and has the attitude of
"I'm here so let's have fun now".

The last few weekends have been so nice so
we have been going to the beach for bonfires
on Friday afternoons.  Whales galore, food and sand.

We watched some eagles be released into
the wild after rehabilitation.

Rosie watched with Hillary
while Cedar had a gigantic meltdown.

We went to a birthday party for Addie and Emery.
Oh Cedar.

Anticipating cake.

Rosie and Ever.

Logan and Cedar.

The birthday girls.

Cedar and Fisher.

Cedar riding his bike really fast!

And the water table is back outside.

We received a playhouse from a friend
of ours.  Instead of having a meeting
after work on Friday, about 8 teachers spent their time
bringing this house to our house.  Awesome!
Cedar is already doing some repairs.

Today we hiked at Starrigavan and played on the beach.

Cedar had a couple photogenic moments.

Rosie would barely look at the camera.

A beautiful day in Sitka!

Rosie went in the water within 30 seconds of arrival at the beach.

Next weekend:  Lily and Rosie's birthday party at the beach.
