Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello and happy Thanksgiving!
We had a lovely time at Uncle Justin's house.
Dad made a variety of potatoes and mom made some pies.

Here is Rosie, almost sitting up on her own!

Uncle Justin smoked a turkey!

His house has lots of animals.  I am learning
words like deer, moose, fox and cougar.

Tonight after dinner we had some "nakey" time.

Mid-November stats!

Mid November stat time:

Rosie, at 6.89 months, is 16 lbs.  She is just starting to eat things
and so far she has tried peas, applesauce, squash and carrots.
She always makes the same face, but goes in for more!
Rosie just started sleeping in her own room and
she slept a whole 9 hours on her own the last 2 nights.
Everyone is happy about this!
She is the happiest morning baby and it is so joyful
to pick her up from naps or in the morning.
Rosie army crawls and rolls quite proficiently;
she has spent only a few seconds on all fours, but it is coming soon.
She coos and smiles and laughs a lot.
She wakes up at 7 AM and goes to bed between 6:30 and 7:30.

Cedar, at 2 years old, is 32 lbs.  His hands and feet are HUGE.
His vocabulary has really taken off the
last couple months.  He eats everything, but
he does not like tomatoes, avocados, salad or shrimp
and only on occasion will he consume chicken.
His favorites are salmon, halibut, rice, cheese, all fruit,
pasta, goldfish, yogurt, applesauce and cheerios.
I frequently hide vegetables in his food and he happily munches away,
for example tonight he unknowingly had spaghetti with kale
and rainbow chard, raw and blended into the sauce.
Cedar likes to do roll call:  mama, dada, baby, mema, uncle, etc.
He is very concerned about Rosie and wants to know where she is at all times.
He likes to go outside and play, regardless of weather or temperature.
He likes to be in the water, regardless of sink, tub or ocean.
He loves Curious George.
Cedar says "agua" but that is his only Spanish so far.
He likes to read the same books over and over;
we have moved from Go Dogs Go to a book about whales.
Cedar really likes his friends Phoebë, Kat, Ever and Uma
and I know this because when I say their names he is very excited.
Cedar goes to bed about 8 these days and is up between 6:45 and 7:30.

The Cedro youtube

Oh and mom made this whole thing
documenting my first 2 years on the planet
and then forgot to mention it.
Wow mom, way to miss the mark.

Birthday celebrations are over and everyone went bye bye.

I had a fun birthday party with 16 of my friends.
We had the whole gym to ourselves with a
bouncey house and all kinds of things to play with.

I blew out a candle again and people sang to me.
Banana cupcakes!

I got some more presents too!

Check out this cool hat!

We went for a 1.5 mile hike.  PhoebĂ« and I walked the whole way
and it only took us 1.5 hours.

On Saturday night everyone went out after Rosalie and I went
to sleep.  Jake came over to babysit us and the crew did a tour
of all the bars in Sitka!

Cousin read a book to Rosie.

Rosie got her own high chair, which is good
because I feel a special bond with mine
and I am not quite ready to share it.

I helped cousin wash the dishes.

"Uncle" Justin is here for the winter and he and cousin
had some whiskey in my sippy cups.  They're silly.

It didn't matter if Sarah couldn't find the ball, she shot me!
Slam Dunk!

Another birthday shot.

Cousin Sarah and our babysitter Jake ran the 10K and 5K,
respectively, at Whalefest.  Mom and Joel walked the 5K.

This is Ashia, everyone's aunt in Sitka.

Evidence of the sun shining with Titi, Mema and Cousin.

The Birthday Boy!

Grandma and Ti-Ti made me an awesome monkey cake!

Cousin Sarah made me a delicious dinner!

Dad and Cousin Joel put together my new kitchen!

Cousin Sarah entertained Rosie.

Here's our dinner: spot prawns, cedar plank salmon,
yummy risotto, roasted beet and spinach salad!

The main event:

I liked it!

Then came presents.  Did you know this was my
very first time opening a present all the way?
It was awesome!

Markers specifically made for drawing on the windows!  YES!

Thanks cousins!

Plastic veggies that you can cut in half!  Thanks mama!

A super cool new kitchen!  Thanks dada!

A cool magnet board with gears!
Thank you mema!

I have another birthday party with my friends on Saturday.
Check out the pictures from that soon!
