Home again.

After an adventurous jaunt into the third world, we are home.
There were moments of sickness, moments of "what the bleep have we done",
and lots of joy.  Our kids are very adaptable, the first sign of good travelers!

Cedar's hair was very popular in Guatemala.  Strangers could not help
themselves and had to tousle his golden locks.
Rosie was an equally big hit with her big smiles and waves.
The good people of Latin America LOVE babies.
That part made the trip much easier.

Rosie has a lot of words coming out now.  Some of them:
yellow, up, no no no, Cedar, Rosie, apple, more, backpack, hola,
adios, I see you, hi, flower, car, string cheese, night night, uh-oh, etc.

Cedar has latched on to the wonders of "why?"  We do a lot of answering for
everything now.  Luke has internal struggles with providing the real answer
vs. the Calvin and Hobbes answer.
Yesterday Cedar was playing with Ever and slipped and fell in the ocean.
I carried him back to the car in his diaper and there were a lot of why questions:
Why am I wet?  Because you fell in the ocean.
Why did I fall in the ocean?  Because you slipped on the rocks.
Why isn't Ever wet?  Because he didn't fall in the ocean.

Since we've been home, the weather has been great and we have been out on
the trails (or in the ocean) every day.  We are part of the Toddler Hiking Club!

Cedar is in between his two good friends Phoebë Snow and Kat.

Cedar always gets progressively more naked as the hike goes on.
He inspires others to disrobe too.
Phoebë Snow and Cedar absorbing the Vitamin D.
The boys are down in the stream.
The girls are up having snacks.

And had I suggested he remove his diaper, he would have.
This is where things went downhill the next day
and Cedar fell into the ocean.
Rosie did well walking barefoot on the rocks.
Rosie is such a happy girl!
